Game on: Michigan will play spring game at Michigan Stadium
An improved weather forecast has convinced University of Michigan officials to continue with plans to host its football spring game and associated events outside at Michigan Stadium today.
Assuming lightning stays away, that is.

On Friday night, the university announced it was considering moving events indoors. That would have eliminated public access to the spring game.
In today's statement, the school still asks fans "to use caution because of the weather reports."
While Michigan will proceed with its originally scheduled plan, it noted that a lightning strike within six miles of the stadium will cancel the spring game immediately "for the safety of the fans and players."
The Michigan Stadium gates will open at 9 a.m. and an alumni flag football game will start at 10 a.m. The Wolverines will take the field at 11:30 a.m. for warmups with a practice and scrimmage starting at noon.
At 2:30 p.m., the Michigan lacrosse team will play Ohio State at Michigan Stadium. That game will follow NCAA rules when it pertains to weather delays.
