Former Michigan basketball recruit Alex Legion faces uncertain future
By AnnArbor.com Staff
The future once looked limitless for former Michigan basketball recruit Alex Legion.
But after twice-spurning the Wolverines, and playing at Kentucky, Illinois and Florida International, the former Detroit Country Day standout's basketball career appears at a crossroads, according to the Detroit News.
"I've been doing a lot of singing lately," Legion recently tweeted.
Here's a link to the complete story in the Detroit News.

Made a comment before, but AA.com police removed it. I think it is too bad that Legion has struggled so much, but I wonder if he did not get harmed by the institutional pampering of high school athletes. His whole life, he heard how great of a player he was (most likely) by teammates, friends, family, newspapers. When it came time to work hard, it does not sound like he was willing to do that. Playing time does not get granted to you based on high school marks. We see this over and over again. That's one reason i think that the press should not overinflate the recruiting things (and I don't tend to read much of it). Also makes you wonder if these athletes don't have the proper mental health support, while they are getting all the physical health support they need. I wish Legion well, but his track record is not looking good.
