Brady Hoke or Tom Izzo? Michigan football coach, MSU hoops coach up for BTN Coach of the Year
Who had the better season?
Michigan football coach Brady Hoke or Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo?
On Monday night, the Big Ten Network may offer an answer one way or another, as both Hoke and Izzo are among the four candidates for the BTN's Men's Coach of the Year award.
The fifth annual BTN Awards Show will air live at 7:30 p.m. Monday on the Big Ten Network.
Hoke, who led Michigan to an 11-2 record and a Sugar Bowl title during his first season and Ann Arbor, and Izzo, who led MSU to a Big Ten Tournament title, are joined by Indiana basketball coach Tom Crean and Penn State wrestling coach Cael Sanderson in the category.
Hoke isn't the only Michigan nomination, though.
Wolverine senior quarterback Denard Robinson and senior receiver Roy Roundtree are nominated in the "Best Finish" category for their last-second 16-yard touchdown hookup to beat Notre Dame last September.
The Michigan-Notre Dame game is also nominated for "Game of the Year."
