Bowl Bonanza Day 5: Chance to win a trip for 2 to see Michigan play in the Sugar Bowl

By AnnArbor.com's Bowl Bonanza

The Michigan football team is in a BCS bowl for the first time since the 2006 season, and you have a chance to be in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 3 when the Wolverines take on Virginia Tech.

If you win AnnArbor.com's five-day Bowl Bonanza sweepstakes, which is brought to you in part by The M Den, we’ll send you and a bowl buddy to see the game.

The winner will receive a U-M Alumni Association-organized prize package valued at approximately $4,200 that includes:

U-M Alumni Association Champions Tour

• Round-trip charter air service from Detroit to New Orleans, La.

• Three nights accommodations at a deluxe hotel (Sheraton, Marriott or similar).

• Round-trip deluxe motorcoach transfers between New Orleans airport and hotel.

• Luggage handling and porterage at the airport and the hotel.

• Private welcome party.

• Official University of Michigan pep rally.

• Complete Sugar Bowl game-day package that includes two game tickets, escorted deluxe motor coach transfer to and from the game and pre-game tailgate party.

• Optional tours, outings and excursions.

• Custom Alumni Association souvenir package.

• Luggage tags, document wallet and engraved Sugar Bowl name badge.

• Alumni Association hosts and escorts.

• Special U-M information and hospitality desk at the hotel.

All you need to know is some simple Michigan football trivia. If you’re stumped, a quick search on AnnArbor.com will produce the answer.

Each day between Thursday, Dec. 8, and Monday, Dec. 12, you’ll find a Michigan football trivia question posted on AnnArbor.com starting at 6 a.m. Look on the homepage or sports topic page to find it.

To enter, all you have to do is submit your answer for each day's question. If you miss a day, you can go back and answer all the questions up until the end of the day on Monday, Dec. 12. On Tuesday, Dec. 13, we’ll randomly select a winner from those who have answered all five questions.

We’ll contact the potential winner by phone and email. The potential winner will have to respond within 2 hours. You must be 18 years old at the time of entry and a Michigan resident to win. And if you win, you’ll need to be at the AnnArbor.com office at 301. E. Liberty St. by noon on Thursday, Dec. 15, and show proper identification to our notary to claim your prize.

I'm dyin' here...I have been obsessively checking my email and keeping my phone close at hand just in case I get "The Call." As time is running out (it's 11:52) I don't think I won, but it's fun to dream. :)

When do you expect to have the drawing tomorrow? It would be nice to know for those of us not attached to cell phones or email.

Thanks for the info. Did my basket of chocolates and flowers reach the young lady responsible for drawing the winning entry?

Macabre Sunset We expect to do the drawing between 10 a.m. and Noon tomorrow and to both call and email the potential winner shortly thereafter. There will be a verification process following the drawing. The specifics are in the contest rules which state "Potential winner must respond within two (2) hours of being notified and must claim the prize within forty-eight (48) hours of being notified, otherwise potential winner forfeits all rights to win the Promotion or receive the prize, and an alternate potential winner may be selected. Upon contacting a potential winner and determining that he/she has met all eligibility requirements of the Promotion, including without limitation the execution of required waivers, publicity and liability releases and disclaimers, such individual will be declared the "winner" of the Promotion." This relatively short timeline is driven by deadlines for travel arrangements and prize package fulfillment arrangements. David Martel, Marketing Director, davidmartel@annarbor.com

Anonymous, It's not a legitimate question. It's just his new obsessive theme. Used to be funny. Not so much anymore.
