Bowl Bonanza Day 1: Chance to win a trip for 2 to see Michigan play in the Sugar Bowl
The Michigan football team is in a BCS bowl for the first time since the 2006 season, and you have a chance to be in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 3 when the Wolverines take on Virginia Tech.
If you win AnnArbor.com's five-day Bowl Bonanza sweepstakes, which is brought to you in part by The M Den, we’ll send you and a bowl buddy to see the game.
The winner will receive a U-M Alumni Association-organized prize package valued at approximately $4,200 that includes:
U-M Alumni Association Champions Tour
• Round-trip charter air service from Detroit to New Orleans, La.
• Three nights accommodations at a deluxe hotel (Sheraton, Marriott or similar).
• Round-trip deluxe motorcoach transfers between New Orleans airport and hotel.
• Luggage handling and porterage at the airport and the hotel.
• Private welcome party.
• Official University of Michigan pep rally.
• Complete Sugar Bowl game-day package that includes two game tickets, escorted deluxe motor coach transfer to and from the game and pre-game tailgate party.
• Optional tours, outings and excursions.
• Custom Alumni Association souvenir package.
• Luggage tags, document wallet and engraved Sugar Bowl name badge.
• Alumni Association hosts and escorts.
• Special U-M information and hospitality desk at the hotel.
All you need to know is some simple Michigan football trivia. If you’re stumped, a quick search on AnnArbor.com will produce the answer.
To enter, all you have to do is submit your answer for each day's question. If you miss a day, you can go back and answer all the questions up until the end of the day on Monday, Dec. 12. On Tuesday, Dec. 13, we’ll randomly select a winner from those who have answered all five questions.
We’ll contact the potential winner by phone and email. The potential winner will have to respond within 2 hours. You must be 18 years old at the time of entry and a Michigan resident to win. And if you win, you’ll need to be at the AnnArbor.com office at 301. E. Liberty St. by noon on Thursday, Dec. 15, and show proper identification to our notary to claim your prize.

Honestly, I'll be very happy to see MSU win their bowl game. It's good for the B1G 10. Though the only game I'm really excited about is the Sugarbow. Everyone from my kids to my Grandmother will be jumping up and down yelling at the TV cheering for Michigan! I haven't heard too much about the other bowls that we're playing in this year; perhaps we have all been so excited about Michigan, we just haven't been talking much about the other schools. I only hear that 2012 is record year for playing in bowls. However, there is that part of me that part of me that won't mind watching the school in Ohio lose to whoever they are playing.

Don't mean to whine like a sparty but aa.com kinda shuts out the out of state Blue fans with the restrictions on receiving the winners tickets.

The Outback Bowl is giving a $150 Best Buy gift card and @25 Outback Steakhouse gift certifcate as swag for participants. Sparty can finally buy a remote control for their tv and watch the Sugar and Rose Bowl chilling on their half-burnt couch, while wallowing in self pity over an order of blooming onions.

If Sparty is so upset ,maybe they should pass on taking the money from the BCS that will get handed out to each school in the conference because a B1G TEN school is playing in this game. One other thing, the goal is to get to the Rosebowl, both schools missed the goal.

If sparty passed on all the money UM shared with the B1G, they wouldn't have enough money to field a football team.

Sparties are such goofs. Your team had its run and even in its glory years, MSU is considered secondle fiddle to UM by the football world. Enjoy the win, it is the last one for quite some time.

"Remember I beat you in Street Fighter 2?" "Remember I scored on you in basketball?" "Remember I beat you one-on-one?" I don't usually refer to msu as "little brother", but the more I see the whining about the BCS selection (dude, you're not old enough to drive yet) and posts like crown's, the more apparent it becomes of the spartan mentality. Quite little brother-ish.
