An early look at the 2012-13 Big Ten bowl schedule
It's July ... but it's never too early to start thinking about college football.
To that end, here are the dates and times of bowls with Big Ten tie-ins, which were released Tuesday:

Meineke Car Care Bowl, Houston, Texas, ESPN (9 p.m.)
Dec. 29
Valley of the Sun Bowl (formerly Insight Bowl), Tempe, Ariz., ESPN (10:15 p.m.)
Jan. 1
TicketCity Bowl, Dallas, Texas, ESPNU (noon)
Gator Bowl, Jacksonville, Fla., ESPN2 (noon)
Outback Bowl, Tampa, Fla., TBA (1 p.m.)
Capital One Bowl, Orlando, Fla., TBA (1 p.m.)
Rose Bowl, Pasadena, Calif., ABC (5 p.m.)

Not sure we are a National Champion contender this year. Tough road games with Bama, Nebraska and Ohio St, could derail those dreams. But 10-2 and a Rose Bowl is possible.
