Michigan basketball recruit Glenn Robinson III shoots up national rankings
An impressive summer AAU season has Michigan basketball recruit Glenn Robinson III shooting up national rankings.
The 6-foot-5 son of a former Purdue and NBA star Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson is No. 39 on the updated Scout.com top 100 list released today, up from No. 90 this spring. He also moved from a 3-star to 4-star recruit and Scout ranks him as the No. 8 small forward in the nation.
The Wolverines’ other class of 2012 recruit, Nick Stauskas, did not make the list.
A player that Michigan is still pursuing, 6-10 center Mitch McGary, is a 5-star recruit and No. 3 on the Scout list.
McGary narrowed his college choices to six schools last week - Michigan, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, Duke and Kentucky.
McGary plays at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., but is a native of Chesterton, Ind., the hometown of current Michigan player Zack Novak. He also played AAU ball with Robinson on the SYF Players.
McGary told ESPN recruiting analyst Dave Telep he has “strong feelings about these six schools.”
More from McGary: "Some of the schools like Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky, they've got great coaches there. I like Michigan and Maryland in the rebuilding stage and they gave me good vibes. Florida's pretty good and they do a lot of similar things with guys like me who are versatile."

Interesting, I heard a few months back that he might be going to Wisconsin.
