Michigan basketball PG Trey Burke shares co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor with Cody Zeller
Trey Burke and Cody Zeller are the only contenders in the race for Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
The Michigan basketball point guard and the Indiana forward shared the league's Freshman of the Week honor, the Big Ten announced Monday.
It marked the seventh weekly award for each player this season. The official announcement of the conference's Freshman of the Year award comes at 7 p.m. Monday night, live on Big Ten Network.

Burke leads Michigan in scoring (14.6 ppg), assists (4.6 per game) and minutes played (35.9).
The seven weekly awards tie Zeller for the most in the Big Ten, and Monday's honor was Burke's third in a row.
The 6-foot-11 Zeller averaged 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in home victories against Michigan State and Purdue last week.
The league will announce all of its postseason awards tonight in a 30-minute program on the Big Ten Network.
