Former Michigan Fab Five member Jalen Rose starts jail sentence

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Jalen Rose, the former Michigan guard and a key member of the Fab Five era in Michigan basketball, started his 20-day sentence in Oakland County jail for drunk driving, The Detroit Free Press reported.

Rose, now an analyst for ESPN, was arrested in West Bloomfield in March after he crashed his vehicle and his blood-alcohol tested at 0.12, above Michigan's legal driving limit of 0.08 percent.

I always thought it ironic that Jalen and, "In Jail" were juxtabosed. He was in trouble during his tenure with the Fab Five and it still is! He makes Tressel look like a saint

Huh? Are you serious? Jalen never took any money; that's why his statistics are still in the record book. Know your facts.

Jalen Rose's behavior is a baffling contrast. On the one hand he shows a lot of ability and knowledge as an analyst of ESPN. And you add to that his generosity running his own charity golf tournament to help his leadership academy. Then, there's the drunken driving and controversial, race-tinged comments about Duke basketball. I guess with Jalen, it's all about taking the good with the bad.
