King, 38, was arrested at Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School and is in the Oakland County Jail.

King, along with Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, Ray Jackson and Juwan Howard, made up the Fab Five at Michigan in the 1991-92 and 1992-93 seasons, when the Wolverines reached the Final Four. The banners from those appearances were removed and the Fab Five's records were erased from the Michigan record books in the wake of the Ed Martin cash scandal.

King played four seasons at Michigan and averaged 11.9 points and 4.1 assists per game.

King, Rose and Jackson were honored in November 2010 at halftime of a Michigan basketball game. King was in Ann Arbor last month as part of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy fundraiser golf event at Barton Hills Country Club.

You know the member of the Fab 5 who turned out to be a model citizen is Juwan Howard who came from the toughest background. Put that in your database Michigan recruiters.

Before you condemn this man, remember there are always two sides to a "Family Story". I had a brother whos wife left him and took the daughter he loved to shack up with some guy. Neither the ex or the boy toy could/would hold a job. They would not marry. This "child support" that they lived on took money away from my brothers new wife and child. Until he became sick and disabled. Then the ex married and adopted the first child, just before my brother died of cancer and a broken heart!

$17,000? How much is he ordered to pay? Either King doesn't pay at all or his assessment is way too high. That number needs some explanation for the story to make sense.

I sure am glad Michigan never recruits any of those "ne'er-do-wel's" like they do down in Columbus or up in East Lansing. ;)

We don't (any more). That period of time was an aberration. We learned from our lesson.

I wonder if he and Jalen are sharing the same cell in the Oakland County Jail? Jimmy has priors, if you'll recall the Dairy Mart Beer Heist of 1994 with Ray Jackson and Remy Hamilton.
