Agent expects former Michigan basketball guard Manny Harris to be in Cleveland Cavaliers camp
While close friend and former Michigan basketball teammate DeShawn Sims is headed overseas to play basketball, it appears former Michigan guard Manny Harris is going to make a run at playing in the United States.
Harris' agent, Henry Thomas, said in an e-mail Tuesday morning, "I expect Manny to be in the Cleveland Cavaliers camp."
The Detroit native, who left Michigan with a year of eligibility remaining, averaged 18.1 points a game for the Wolverines last year.
The Cleveland Cavaliers media relations office said it can't confirm the preseason roster until closer to the start of training camp.
The Cavs are overhauling their team after the departure of LeBron James to Miami. Currently, seven guards or swingmen are listed on Cleveland's 2010-11 roster - Mo Williams, Daniel Gibson, Ramon Sessions, Anthony Parker, Daniel Green, Joey Graham and Christian Eyenga.

Good luck Manny and thanks for some really good basketball while you were here. We didn't do you any favors and we recognize there wasn't much reason for you to stick around, especially with Sims gone too. Hope you make the Cavaliers - at least you won't have to play for HeWhoWillNotBeNamed :)
