2013 Michigan basketball commit Zak Irvin lands on Indiana Junior All-Star team
Zak Irvin long has been regarded as one of the top juniors in Indiana.
Now, he's earning some recognition.
Irvin, a 2013 Michigan basketball commit, was chosen as a member of the 2012 Indiana Junior All-Star team Thursday, the Indianapolis Star reported.
The junior squad, which is chosen by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association, will play on the "core group" and will take part in exhibitions against the 2012 Indiana All-Stars, a collection of the state's top seniors.
Following the exhibitions, the senior all-stars will play a two-game series with all-stars from Kentucky in June.
Irvin, a 6-foot-6-inch shooting guard from Hamilton Southeastern High School, is part of Michigan's four-player commitment group for 2013.
A four-star prospect according to Rivals.com, Irvin is joined in Michigan's 2013 class by four-star point guard Derrick Walton, three-star forward Mark Donnal and three-star guard Austin Hatch.
