The Wolverines will battle Cornell on Nov. 24 at New York's Madison Square Garden in the 2012 Frozen Apple event. Additionally, Michigan will take part in the first-ever outdoor Great Lakes Invitational, held Dec. 27-28 at Comerica Park in Detroit.
The 2012 GLI features Michigan, Michigan State, Michigan Tech and Western Michigan.
After beginning the season with home exhibition tilts against Windsor and the United States National Team Development Program, Michigan opens the regular-season with five straight home games at the newly renovated Yost Ice Arena, starting with a two-game set against the Rochester Institute of Technology on Oct. 11-12.
Michigan's first road series begins on Nov. 2 at Northern Michigan.
The 2012-13 season will be the final year of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, and Michigan will play all 10 CCHA opponents at least twice during its last go-around.
The Wolverines will play Michigan State, Western Michigan, Ferris State and Notre Dame four times each.
Additionally, Michigan will serve as the host school for the 2013 NCAA West Regional, which will be played March 29-31 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.

The outdoor GLI is a huge mistake, and cetainly won't be going to sit outside to watch 4 games in Comerica Park - those who go, enjoy. It will be the first GLI I have ever missed. The Madison Square Garden game is terrific! Although as an ex-New Yorker good luck finding affordable airfare and lodging in NYC over Thanksgiving weekend. Still, its a great thing, and there are sure to be a lot fo UM fans there -- incidentally, tickets for season ticket holders and supporters go on sale tomorrow through Saturday before general sales open up....
