Tickets, get your tickets. For Orlando. And the Old Spice Classic
If you're still looking for a good place to go for Thanksgiving week, how about trying Disney World.
(OK, enough being a shill)
Tickets for the Old Spice Classic, which Michigan's basketball team will play in as part of an eight-team field, go on sale today. Tickets for the entire 12-game tournament (six sessions of two games each) are $120. Single session tickets are $20. Seeing Goofy or Mickey Mouse, well, you can't put a price on that.
If you want to follow just Michigan, you can get tickets for $65, guaranteeing a seat in all three of the sessions the Wolverines will play in.
Tickets can be bought through Ticketmaster online, or by calling (407) 839-3900 or, if you're in Orlando, by stopping by the Disney Wide World of Sports ticket office.
(CORRECTION: From the Old Spice Classic people, who made a mistake on the initial release: Ticketmaster number is (800) 745-3000 and the Disney Wide World of Sports ticket office number is (407) 939-1529.)
Michigan opens the tournament on Thursday, Nov. 26 at noon against Creighton, which is good news if you want to try and catch some late-afternoon Thanksgiving football or Turkey Day dinner.

Hopefully Bill Martin will schedule these schools from this "classic" for football home and homes. Considering Iona, Creighton, Xavier, and Marquette don't have teams, U-M is guaranteed four wins, an improvement over last season, to be sure. And while the blowout loss to Bama might sting, could a beat down by the Tide be any more embarrassing than getting drilled by Ohio State, or losing to Toledo, for that matter? redceder1 makes a great point, unless the football fans are saving their money to use towards RR's buyout when he gets fired in two years.

This is good news for the football fans too. They can use their budget for bowl games and splurge on a trip to see Creighton.

If you go...go for the weather...not for the basketball. According to Tater, it takes 5 successive years before a team can be considered 'big time.' So MAYBE in 2013 it will be worth it for the basketball.
