College football's championship game arrives tonight. While most of the focus is on the Alabama-Texas matchup, there's quite a few people wading into the spotlight to talk about the tyranny of the BCS system.
We'll start today's college links with voices from the anti-BCS camp.

College football is the only sport we have that doesn't have a playoff. Could you imagine the money networks would be willing to pay for every single game of a 16-team playoff? Every day would be a Super Bowl. Now last night's CMU/Troy game was entertaining and fun, but produced almost no ratings. What if that were a first-round game? People would start talking about CMU and LeFevour (well, for those of us who follow football, we already know about him, but I digress). I realize the major conferences don't want to give up all those stupid little bowls that trickle in a million at a time. But that's a poor reason for not giving the fans what they want. It can only help in the long run.

Udoh doesn't play for Michigan, we all know that. We all know it would be awesome for Michigan if he would have stayed, but he didn't so what is the point of pointing out his stat line every game over and over and over... He has turned into a great player on the inside and he will do well in the NBA. I wish him well.
