Saline High School dominated the 14-team girls cross country field at the 22nd annual Ypsilanti Early Bird Invitational Thursday. The Hornets placed seven runners in the top 25.

Just imagine if they'd brought their A team.

"This gives some of our JV people the chance to compete at a varsity level," said Saline coach Michael Smith, who rested his varsity runners in preparation for an invitational in Bath on Saturday.
