Michigan's Jacob Trouba records four assists as Team USA advances to World Junior semifinals

Michigan defenseman Jacob Trouba continued his strong World Junior play, as he recorded four assists in Team USA's 7-0 quarterfinal win over the Czech Republic Tuesday.

Trouba is now tied with Alex Galchenyuk for the team lead with eight points in four games. His eight points are tops among tournament defenseman.

Team USA will now face Canada at 4 a.m. Eastern Time Thursday, with the winner advancing to the championship game Saturday. Canada is 4-0 in the tournament while USA is 2-2. Canada won the pool play game against Team USA, 2-1.

After a third-place finish in the Great Lakes Invitational, the Michigan hockey team will face the U.S. National Team Development Program Friday in an exhibition game before facing Bowling Green in a rare Tuesday game at Yost Ice Arena.
