UPDATE: Michigan softball player Bree Evans injured on field, taken to Michigan Hospital, condition improves
Michigan softball center fielder Bree Evans has been upgraded to fair condition at University of Michigan Hospital after a head-on collision at home plate during an exhibition game with Michigan State on Thursday evening.
Evans, 19, was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported to the hospital by ambulance, according to Michigan sports information director Leah Howard.On Thursday night, the hospital had listed her in serious condition.
Evans, a 5-foot-8 sophomore from Bloomington, Calif., started 59 games her freshman year for Michigan. The All-Big Ten second team performer hit .319 with eight doubles, two triples and 25 RBI. She also stole 16 bases.
Howard said the teams did not continue play after Evans' injury.

First of all, we all hope Bree is doing better and send best wishes to her and her family. Why is there no update to this story? Also, why is there nothing on the mgoblue website? Please give us some news on Bree's progress.
