Michigan hockey falls behind early, drops 4-3 decision to Nebraska-Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. - The Michigan hockey team surrendered three first-period goals and never recovered, falling to Nebraska-Omaha, 4-3, Friday night.
The loss dropped the Wolverines into sixth place in the CCHA standings. A win would have moved Michigan into third place. The two teams finish the weekend series tonight at 8:05 p.m.
"It's one of those nights," Michigan coach Red Berenson said. "(Goalie Bryan) Hogan made some good saves to keep us close. We had our chances and we didn't capitalize on them. We've got some bouncing back to do, no question. We saw their best and they didn't see our best."
