Michigan guard Zack Novak out with the flu; Zack Gibson to start
SALT LAKE CITY - For the first time this year, the Michigan basketball team will have a different starting lineup.
Sophomore guard Zack Novak arrived in Salt Lake City yesterday and woke up this morning with gastrointestinal flu. He didn't even make it to the arena tonight. Instead, he's resting at the team hotel.
Fifth-year senior Zack Gibson will make his first start of the season in Novak's place. Gibson has averaged 7.1 points and 2.7 rebounds this season for the Wolverines.
It will be Gibson's 18th career start. He made nine starts last season and eight starts in 2007-08.
