A three-run seventh inning led the Michigan baseball team to a 9-6 win over Iona in the opener of a weekend series in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Freshman outfielder Will Drake drove in three runs for the Wolverines (3-1), including a two-run double in the seventh gave reliever Kyle Clark his first win of the season.

Clark allowed two Iona runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 6-6.

Michael O’Neill went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Michigan, which will play Iona twice more on Saturday and again Sunday.

Iona’s James Beck went 2-for-4 with 5 RBIs, including a three-run home run in the sixth inning off Michigan starter Brandon Sinnery. (Boxscore)
