Meandering through the maize (and blue): Michigan-Ohio State rivalry on display at the College Football Hall of Fame
If you’re a Michigan fan and you’ve never been to the College Football Hall of Fame, now is the time to go.
The hall is running a special exhibit through Dec. 1 on the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry. “The Bucks and the Blue” features artifacts from the turn of the century like old Michigan fullback Neil Snow’s letterman pin, architectural drawings of both Michigan and Ohio stadiums, the goal post from the 1969 Rose Bowl, and jerseys worn by the likes of Charles Woodson, Desmond Howard and Archie Griffin.
Kent Stephens, the museum’s curator and historian, said the feature exhibit changes every nine months, and he’s already planning next year’s event, likely on the 75th anniversary of the Heisman Trophy.
On to the links:
• ESPN's Adam Rittenberg ranks Michigan's specials teams units - kicker, punter and return men - second in the Big Ten. Michigan State is No. 1.
• Remember Jerimy Finch, the blue-chip safety who committed to Michigan back in 2006, ended up signing with Florida the following February and eventually transferred to Indiana? He's struggling to get on the field with the Hoosiers.
• Great quote from Penn State linebacker Sean Lee, who looks healthy in his return from a torn ACL. "I can't wait to be playing football," he said. "Smelling the grass ... putting the pads on, getting the nicks on your nose from hitting."
• Redshirt freshman Curt Phillips is the leading candidate to start at quarterback for Wisconsin this year. A good move, in my opinion, considering fifth-year senior Dustin Sherer is the next best option.
• Lawyers for the alleged assailant of Ohio State linebacker Tyler Moeller say Moeller instigated the fight that left him out for the season with a head injury. In on-field news, J.B. Shugarts is now in the mix to start at left tackle for the Buckeyes.

Went last week and even as a Spartan man I was impressed with the exhibit. Worth seeing. Get off the Turnpike at Notre Dame South Bend exit turn right at the light go 2 miles turn left you are there.

Theo, I think your one year early on your statement. Michigan will have a great year this year, but starting next year they will own the Big Ten and the Ohio State Suckeyes.

Tressel has beaten UM for the last time. RR will own him beginning this year. This will lead to his inglorious dismissal.

Good idea but where do we go? There is no information about the location or hours of operation of the College Football Hall of Fame. I have encountered this a couple of times when reading about exhibits/events on this site. No event details/location are given.
