Indiana defensive end Jammie Kirlew spied perhaps the greatest picture ever of Indiana football coach Bill Lynch
He couldn't contain himself. Not with this. Not with the hands going and the mouth jawing the eyes still, months later, not believing what he saw.
Indiana defensive end Jammie Kirlew wandered into the office of one of Indiana's coaches and out of the corner of his eye saw something from the past of his head coach, Bill Lynch, and it left Hoosiers' defensive leader doubled over.
"I walked into the GA's office to get some films, wanted to watch some extra film and I seen an old school picture of Bill Lynch in his basketball uniform back in the day," Kirlew said. "You know, with the short shorts and the hair. I was dying."
Unfortunately, Kirlew didn't swipe the picture for photocopy evidence or for a fun little joke to plaster through Indiana's lockerroom (although, in reality, that was probably smart as it would have potentially led to running. Lots of running.).
He was, however, tempted. And as of Tuesday morning, he had yet to tell Lynch of his little discovery.
"He doesn't know," Kirlew said. "Maybe one day, make a wallet-sized photo."
