A piece of Michigan football history from 1934

By AnnArbor.com Staff

In 1934, it cost a quarter to buy a program at the Michigan-Ohio State game. It will cost considerably more to purchase the historic piece of memorabilia now.

It's selling in an ebay auction that ends Thursday evening.

Greg Dooley of mvictors.com takes particular interest in the program, given the historically rotten state of Michigan football in 1934, which went 1-7-1 following back-to-back championship seasons.

Inside, the program has photos of Gerald Ford, as well as an Ohio State freshman named Jesse Owens. It's good stuff, and Dooley breaks down the history contained inside the program.

That Buckeye went on to run circles around the hitler youth, left all those kids in his dust. I hear the Fuhrer was pretty pissed.
