After all of the hockey games and fireworks, it was anybody and everybody's turn on the ice at Michigan Stadium. Several people took advantage of the open skates scheduled on the Big Chill at the Big House ice. Photographer Melanie Maxwell captured the scene.

One of the coolest things was walking out onto the field through the tunnel! I loved skating in the falling snow while listening to Christmas Carols.

Thank you for sharing these pictures. What a memorable experience this must have been for those who participated. The snow on the ice enhances the outdoor effect.
