The Michigan hockey team jumped out to an 3-0 first period lead in its season opener against Rochester Institute of Technology on Thursday at Yost Ice Arena. But the Wolverines couldn't hold as RIT forced overtime and scored just 14 seconds into the extra session to walk away with a 5-4 win.
