Nicholas Katsefaras of Pinckney was the first of the 878 runners and walkers to cross the Firecracker 5K finish line Monday in downtown Ann Arbor, completing the course in 15 minutes, 53.6 seconds. Melanie Maxwell captured the action at the annual event.
