As coach of Huron's girls soccer team, Todd Pheiffer has enjoyed much success, winning three straight district championships and a state title in 2008. In his fourth year as coach of the boys side, he can start filling the other half of the trophy case.

Huron seniors Ben Patterson and Mario Teixeira scored their 26th and 20th goals of the season, respectively, and goalkeeper Ryan Miller -- in his first game back from injury suffered more than two weeks ago -- shut out Pioneer to give the River Rats a 3-0 victory over their cross-town rival in a Division district final at Saline.
