An area transformer failed at around 11 a.m. Friday morning, knocking out power to the school and sending students home. Skyline athletic director John Young said the school received notice that the power could be off until 8 p.m., leading to the game cancellation.

The game has been rescheduled for Feb. 12, 7 p.m. at Skyline.

The cancellation is unrelated to the recent winter weather to hit the Ann Arbor area, and no other area games have been announced as canceled, including Skyline’s girls basketball game at Dexter.
