Skyline hits three buzzer beaters in double OT win over Dexter

With 14.3 seconds remaining in overtime, the Skyline boys basketball team trailed Dexter 71-68, had the length of the court to dribble and were looking to get the ball in the hands of Theron Wilson or Sakthi Sambandan.
Both had scored 22 points to that point - Sambandan with a ridiculous 8-of-9 night from the field, including 6-of-7 from behind the 3-point line. Wilson’s was a more of a workman’s effort: slashing, scoring from outside and sacrificing his body to get to the free-throw line.
So Wilson brought the ball up the length of the floor and found Sambandan, but he was triple - yes, triple - covered beyond the arc. Sambandan passed it back to Wilson, but the coverage followed the pass.
So Wilson heaved the ball across the court to Peter Bakker.
Bakker wasn’t covered at all.
Bakker’s 3-pointer found the bottom of the net at the buzzer, sending the game into another extra session. Dexter only missed four of its 28 free throw attempts all night, but missed two in the second overtime and didn’t make a single field goal as Skyline won the Southeastern Conference contest, 78-75, at Skyline High School.
