Saline boys water polo team wins first two matches at Skyline Invitational; Skyline tennis sweeps Milan and more

James Fisher led the Saline High School boys water polo team with 10 goals in two games at day one of the Skyline Invitational Friday.

Fisher had five goals and one assist in the first game, in which the Hornets defeated Ann Arbor Skyline's A team, 14-9. He followed up that performance up with five goals and four assists in a 22-7 win over Troy Athens.

Petar Durakovic and Lucas Allen helped the Hornets with six goals apiece against Athens.

Skyline A picked up one win against Dexter's B team, but the Eagles lost in their later match against the Rockford B team.

Saline, Dexter and Skyline will finish pool play tomorrow morning with matches starting at 9 a.m. The semifinal games are scheduled for 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. and the championship is at 6 p.m.
