There's one day left of the Southeastern Conference boys basketball season, but three teams could be calling themselves Red Division champions by the end of it.

If Huron can win its home game against Temperance Bedford, then the two teams will share the league title with Pioneer, provided the Pioneer can hold off Saline. The title would be Huron's fourth straight.

Should Bedford win, the Kicking Mules would win its first boys basketball conference title outright.

"They beat us by 10 at their place," Huron coach Waleed Samaha said after his team's Friday win over Monroe. "We're expecting an excellent game."

A potential logjam at the top of the SEC Red standings, plus a logjam in the middle of the SEC White standings, leaves nearly all of the Friday division crossover matchups up in the air.

The only crossover that’s guaranteed so far is sixth-place, Monroe at Chelsea. All crossovers will be at SEC White schools.

Three finish season in girls state rankings

The final Associated Press girls prep basketball poll was released Tuesday, and three Washtenaw County teams made the cut.

Manchester finished its regular season at 19-1 and came in at third in Class C, the only area team to make the top 10. Huron moved up two spots in this week's poll, but still finished one notch outside the top ten.

Arbor Prep, despite the fact that its only game since the last poll was a 71-21 win over Whitmore Lake, moved down two spots, from No. 9 to one spot outside the top 10.

On the boys side, only one area team made this week's poll: Greenhills, three spots outside the top ten.
