These are High School kids for crying out loud. Do we really need a vote? As sure as somebody will come in first somebody else will come in last...to what end?

its not "pointing out some outstanding performances", its asking your readers to rank them from "most outstanding" of the lot to, lets face it, "least outstanding" of the lot. As I type this someone is clearly "in the lead" and someone is soundly "in last place". Again, these are High School kids and I fail to see the need.

We saw it as just one more way to point out some outstanding performances by local athletes, Craig. I've been covering prep sports in this area for more than a decade and I can't remember a day quite like Saturday, as evidenced by the achievements noted above.
