with poll: Pioneer, Saline lead Week 4 high school football 'Game of the Week' poll, but not by much

There is a little more than a day left to vote in the AnnArbor.com “Game of the Week” poll and so far, Friday’s Pioneer versus Saline game at Saline High School ahead, but not by much.

Yes, the Pioneer versus Saline game has 79.4 percent of the vote, and on the surface that seems like an insurmountable lead. But with only 301 votes so far in this week’s poll, at 239 votes, the game is only 203 votes ahead of Chelsea vs. Ypsilanti, and 227 votes ahead Temperance Bedford at Huron.

Even the third and fourth place games of Manchester at Addison (nine votes) and Britton Deerfield at Whitmore Lake (five votes) aren’t that far behind.

The matchup between the Hornets and Pioneers could very well determine the SEC Red championship, but will it be the Game of the Week? That’s up to you.

Voting closes at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, so if you want the Super Bowl treatment from AnnArbor.com, vote early and vote often.
