No shortage of early season excitement for Saline boys basketball
It’s only mid-December, but the Saline High School boys basketball team has already had enough excitement to last a season.

Saline’s last two games have both gone down to the wire, with the Hornets winning in comeback fashion Saturday and falling in a marathon game Tuesday.
Tuesday at Southgate Anderson, Saline went to double overtime before falling, 65-63. The Hornets had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation and in both overtime periods before suffering their first loss of the season.
That game followed a Saturday performance in which Saline came from 17 points down in the third quarter to top Canton, 58-56 at home.
"This was more about defense than offense. Our defense became our offense," first-year coach Eric Williams said of Saturday's game. "That's what allowed us to come back.’
Thursday, Saline visits Chelsea to kick off a stretch of four straight games against SEC White opponents.
The Bulldogs, also under a first-year coach in Rourke Skelton, are 1-1, most recently topping Manchester Monday, 87-65.
