Bennett, a junior, finished the weekend with four points on two goals and two assists and was named the CCHA's Defenseman of the Week Monday.

In Friday's game, Bennett scored the lone first-period goal and assisted on a third-period goal. He scored the final goal of Saturday's game, which cut the Wolverines deficit to one, and assisted on a second-period Kevin Lynch goal.

For the year, Bennett now has nine points, second among all Wolverines players, including a team-leading six assists. He also leads the Wolverines with 13 blocked shots and a plus-eight rating.

Michigan hosts Michigan State Friday at 7:35 p.m. at Yost Ice Arena.
