The Manchester High School girls basketball team finished fourth in the Cascades Conference regular season standings, well behind three-time defending champion Napoleon.

On Friday night, the Flying Dutchmen stunned the league champs and Class C district tournament hosts, winning 50-48 for its first district title since 1998.

"We were not intimidated by them at all, although we have a great deal of respect for them," Manchester coach Cori Kastel told the Jackson Citizen Patriot. "It was great to have a showdown for the district title between two Cascades teams."
