Due to foul trouble, Pioneer High School senior guard Kamilah Carter was hunched on the bench, visibly frustrated, a majority of the first half.

The senior, who sets the pace for Pioneer on both sides of the floor, made up for that lost time in the fourth quarter when her team needed her most.

In the opening minutes of the fourth, Carter hit a jumper and buried a pair of 3-pointers to help the Pioneers compile a 12-0 run on their way to a 70-56 nonconference win over Belleville Thursday in Ann Arbor.

The Pioneer point guard -- foul-trouble or not -- had one thing on her mind heading into the fourth.

"We got to win, that's all I was thinking," said Carter, who scored a team-high 24 points. "I had to bring my team back; I didn't score much in the first half. So, I figured I got to lead my team to victory."
