High school football in the state of Michigan kicked off last night, but the first AnnArbor.com Game of the Week kicks off tonight at Pioneer High High School.

AnnArbor.com reporters Pete Cunningham and Matt Durr will host a live chat as Michigan football quarterback commit Shane Morris and the Warren De La Salle Pilots take on Pioneer at Hollway field starting at 7 p.m.

Next week's game of the week voting begins tonight as well with three Thursday night games and a Friday night game.

The road doesn't get any easier for the Pioneers who take on defending Division 2 state champions Birmingham Brother Rice on Thursday. Also with a tough game on Thursday is Chelsea who, a week after taking on perennial Division 5 power Jackson Lumen Christi, will travel to Spartan territory to take on last year's Division 3 state quarterfinalist, East Lansing.

Back in Ann Arbor, the Skyline Eagles will attempt to win their first ever home game against the team they won their first ever conference game against last season, Dexter. The only Friday night Game of the Week candidate is the Lincoln vs. Huron matchup at Riverbank Stadium in Ann Arbor.
