The crosstown rival boys tennis teams from Pioneer HIgh School and Huron played at Huron High School on Thursday with the River Rats winning 8-0.
The Southeastern Conference Red Division rivalry, which often has implications for how the Division 1 state tournament will play out, was one-sided. The River Rats swept every flight and were only pushed to three sets once.
That one flight was No. 1 singles where Jack Petersen defeated Ivan Rakic 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
