March has finally arrived, so it's time for the Huron High School boys basketball team to play its best basketball.

For the second straight game, the River Rats blew out a Southeastern Conference Red Division opponent—Tuesday night it was Saline that fell victim in a 68-33 win that sent off an accomplished Huron senior class in style on senior night at the Riverdome.

After a lengthy pregame ceremony, the Rats needed the first four minutes of the game to find their bearings before taking a 17-7 lead by the end of the first quarter and a 36-15 advantage at halftime.

"When you're in a senor night situation, the first thing you're trying to overcome is the raw emotion," said Huron coach Waleed Samaha. "And I thought the first few minutes we struggled a little, just with the emotion of the night. But then we settled down, turned Saline over a few times defensively and got a few clean looks offensively."

Saline (8-11, 7-8 SEC Red) struggled against the Huron press, turning the ball over 15 times in the first half.

Matters didn't get much better for the Hornets in the second half, as Huron (18-1, 15-0 SEC Red) scored the first 11 points of the third quarter, and kept its pressure on until the fourth.

A Matt Hastings 3-pointer put Huron ahead 59-19 with a 1:48 left in the third quarter and the rest of the game was played with a running clock.
