High school roundup: Pioneer tops Dexter in battle of boys lacrosse unbeatens and more Monday results

Dylan Swanson had two goals and four assists to lead the Pioneer High School boys lacrosse team to an 11-5 win at Dexter in a battle of unbeaten teams.

The 16-0 Pioneers, No. 3 in the MHSAA Division 1 laxpower.com rankings, pulled away in the second half after holding a narrow 6-5 halftime lead.

"Pioneer didn't panic when it was a close game," Dexter coach Brian Callanan said. “We had our chances in the first half to make a difference, but it didn’t turn out that way. (Pioneer is) fundamentally sound across the board and we had some unforced errors.

Michael Spuller scored two goals for 16-1 Dexter, ranked No 3 in Division 2. (Boxcore)

Taylor Zdanowski, Zach Weber, Peter Burke and Eric Loveless each scored twice for Pioneer.
