"We moved the ball pretty well today," said Greenhills coach Mike Costello. "Our passing and catching was vastly improved from the last few games."

Connor Tremper and Kyle Wozniak added four goals apiece and six Gryphons added a single score each. That included Rishi Goel and Nirvair Sandhu, who notched their first goals of the season.

In Ypsilanti, Arnold scored three of his goals in the first quarter - and assisted on two others - to help the Railsplitters take an early 6-0 lead. They stretched that advantage to 9-1 before Ypsilanti (3-14) put on a late rally.

"I guess at that point the guys figured the game was pretty much over," Railplitters coach Jeff Daniels said. "(Ypsilanti) kept playing hard and we let up. But it was a pretty big deficit to make up."

Jarrett Pfieffer added three goals for the Railsplitters. Lincoln (9-7) travels to face Warren De La Salle (6-9), the No. 2 seed in Region 7, at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

"We've never played them," Daniels said. "They have a similar record to us, but they've played better teams than we have throughout the course of the year. It's going to be a tough game for us."

Greenhills (8-8) will play a Region 7 quarterfinal game at Father Gabriel Richard (11-7) at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The teams met on May 4, with Gabriel Richard picking up an 11-3 win.
