Marissa Thompson's career night leads Greenhills over Novi Franklin Road Christian; Huron, Pioneer win handily and more
Marissa Thompson had a career night Tuesday, leading the Greenhills School girls basketball team to a 47-34 Michigan Independent Athletic Conference win on the road over Novi Franklin Road Christian, which came into the night undefeated in MIAC play.
Thompson scored 20 points and pulled down 26 rebounds to help the Gryphons overcome a seven-point deficit in the first quarter.
"She does a great job on the offensive glass and defensivley," Greenhills coach Lisa Mack said of Thompson. "Once we started boxing out, Marissa pretty much took over. She keeps her hands up and stays tall and keeps putting it back in."
