Dexter soccer scores 4-3 comeback win over Huron
Dexter High School's all-state striker Jonathan Jebson left the field with his team trailing 1-0 early in the first against Huron Thursday. He had injured his neck challenging a ball in the air, and by the time he re-entered, Dexter trailed 2-0.
"I was just thinking, get the first one, focus on that, try to get one before halftime and then work on the second to tie it up and then just work from there," said Jebson.Jebson (left) and fellow forward Ethan Rickelman, who had also been subbed out with Dexter trailing 1-0, came back into the game with 10 minutes remaining in the half. Just three minutes elapsed before Rickelman beat his defender and fed the ball to Jebson for the first of four straight goals for the Dreadnaughts, who went on to win the SEC crossover match 4-3.
