Austin Sullens didn't even see the puck go in.

The Chelsea High School junior poked his stick in the path of teammate Cody Fojtik's first-period slap shot, sending the puck into the right corner of Dexter's net before he was knocked to the ice by a defender.

When Sullens looked up to see what happened, he saw an assuring sign.

"My back was to the net, but I looked up at Cody (Fojtik) and he had his hands in the air, so I knew it went in," said Sullens.

Arms raised in celebration became a familiar sight for Chelsea in its 8-2 boys hockey win over Dexter Wednesday at Chelsea's Arctic Coliseum.

The Bulldogs led 4-2 after two periods before shutting the door on the Dreadnaughts with four unanswered goals in the third, the final coming from Sullens.
