Chelsea hands Huron its 1st home boys basketball loss since '08
But it was what the visiting Bulldogs were able to accomplish on those occassions they did break the press that led to their 66-65 upset at the Riverdome.
"I thought the kids handled the pressure really well. We knew what we wanted to do, and by and large we did it," Chelsea coach Robin Raymond said. "We had too many turnovers, but we also had a lot of easy shots against the press."
Chelsea (6-2) made an ultra-efficient 12 of 17 shots from the floor in the second half, nine of them coming on layups, and held off a furious Huron (6-3) rally late.
The loss was Huron's first on its home court since Jan. 29, 2008 against Lincoln. (Rest of the Story & Photo Gallery | Boxscore)
