This week's Athletes to Know features Greenhills basketball player Marissa Thompson and Chelsea hockey player Anthony Catalina.

Grade: Senior.
Sport: Basketball.
Accomplishment: Thompson is averaging 17.5 points and 10 rebounds while leading Greenhills to a 9-3 record. She described Friday's 39-29 win against Lutheran Westland as her best defensive game, in addition to her 18 points and 12 rebounds.
On her iPod: Regina Spektor and Adele.
Favorite subject: Math.
Who she looks up to: Her father, a chemical engineering professor who played basketball in college.
Favorite athlete: Michael Jordan.
After high school: Plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania to study chemical and biomolecular engineering. Is considering walking on to Penn's women's basketball team.
Coach Lisa Mack says: "She's definitely the heart and soul of our team. She's been a great senior leader this year. She's been more vocal, more aggressive on the floor."
Grade: Senior.
Sport: Hockey.
Accomplishment: A team captain, Catalina has three goals and 15 assists for Chelsea (7-3-2).
On his iPod: Lil Wayne, Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa, Whitesnake.
Favorite subject: Social Studies.
Who he looks up to: His father.
Favorite athletes: Patrick Kane, Wes Welker, Tim Thomas.
After high school: Wants to go play junior hockey, then play college hockey.
Coach Don Wright says: "He leads all our defensemen in scoring and he's up there with a lot of the forwards."
