Here's the real key to the University of Michigan football team's season
By Pete Bigelow
Grand Rapids Press columnist Howie Beardsley doesn't think it ultimately matters who starts at quarterback for the Wolverines. Nor does he care about who gets the most carries at tailback or most balls at wide receiver.
The key to Michigan's season?

What team isn't 1 QB injury away from a horrible season ie:Tebow, McCoy, Bradford any of those guys go down those teams are done. Michigan will be fine and there is no doubt in my mind that RR knows what he's doing. With Gardner coming in next year Robinson will play a Percy Harvin role and the sky's the limit for Michigan in the next couple of years

It is obvious that Beardsley didn't watch the second half of last season, in which the offensive line was quite competent. The quarterback play was clearly the problem. Plus, anything advertised as the "real key" to anything is pretty irritating.

aren't any of you worried that with these 2 freshman qbs' size that a couple of big hits they could be done for awhile. I am optimistic michigan will turn their season around but i think they are 1-2 injuries from having another horrible year.

I disaree with Beardsley. The OL is important, but I still think the QB play will be the deciding factor. Football is too sophisticated in this era to win without a decent QB. 9-3 still sounds like a reasonable expectation to me, though.
