Teams set for Michigan's Dave Brandon vs. Michigan State's Mark Hollis golf match
Two professional golfers, an NFL kicker and a Masters golfer make up Dave Brandon's Michigan team in the upcoming Big Ten athletic director golf match against Michigan State's Mark Hollis.
Hollis used Twitter today to announce the teams and format for the event to be played July 25 at Eagle Eye Golf Course in East Lansing.
Each athletic director picked four golfers with ties to their university. Brandon chose Andy Matthews, a regular on the Nationwide Tour who has played in several PGA Tour events; Lion Kim, who played in the Masters in April and recently finished his Michigan career; longtime LPGA member Elaine Crosby and former Michigan football player and current Arizona Cardinals kicker Jay Feely.
"(Hollis) obviously already got his deal all lined up because he’s rigging this thing," Brandon said in May. "But it doesn’t matter, we’re going to show up there in our maize and blue and have a lot of fun."
Hollis chose two-time Michigan Open champion Ryan Brehm, former pro Jimmy Chestnut, one-time Masters qualifier Jack Newman and former LPGA golfer Sue Ertl to represent Michigan State.
Hollis said on Twitter that the two best scores on each hole will make up a team score.

sounds like we have two athletic directors (and their egos) whose names haven't been in the news lately.

Why is this game being played in East Lansing? How did they get the home course advantage?
